Buttermilk Falls State Park's name derives from the beautiful crystalline waterfalls that pour off from Buttermilk Creek on its journey to Cayuga Lake. The park features hiking trails, a camping area and a small scenic lake. Visitors to the park will also enjoy a trip to Larch Meadows, a shady glen and wetlands with a well-maintained nature trail just south of the park. It is located south of the city, past Ithaca College.
Open year-round. Camping available mid-May - mid-Oct.
